"Reading sections of the Torah was an expression of the importance of listening to the word of G-D. Because of it's length, it would be impossible to read the entire Torah every day. So, to make it possible to include the Torah in daily devotion, selections were taken from it and placed within the context of the service. These selections would both represent the whole and present certain concepts that the Sages felt it essential to stress. So strong was the belief that these selections represented the entire Torah that the Sages taught that anyone who read them was considered to have fulfilled the command to study Torah day and night.
We need to realize that in the time of Yeshua the Bible would not have been broken down into chapter and verse as we see today. Imagine if you will that the Sages had the entire Bible memorized, which still happens in some Jewish communities today. You would refer to something by a scripture found in that chapter or more often than not, by the very first line. With this in mind, we need to look at the following account in Matt. 22:35-37 (Kjv) Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law ? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. The Sh'ma is believed to have been put together in the Second Temple times and if we remember that this was put together by the Sages (which Yeshua is actually talking to. The definition of the word translated 'Lawyer' refers to someone who is an expert on Torah law and that would be a Sage.) and it was believed that the three sections of the Sh'ma represented the entire Torah. This is something that this Sage would have known as well as Y'shua. The next thing that Y'shua says is in Matt. 22:38-40 (Kjv) This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. When Y'shua quoted what we call Leviticus 19:18, what would have come to mind would have been the entire chapter of Leviticus 19.Then Y'shua tells this Sage that the Law and the Prophets , hang on or are summed up in the Sh'ma and Leviticus 19. So with the Sh'ma representing the entire Torah, Y'shua has not only told this Sage that the entire Torah is still valid, but that this Sage would better understand the word of G-D by understanding the Sh'ma as well as Leviticus 19. As believers we can see that Y'shua did not do away with the Torah

According to Jeffrey M. Cohen in "Prayer and Penitence: A Commentary on the High Holy Day Machzor": In early talmudic times the word 'malkhut' (kingdom) had a polemical significance, as it was the official term used by Jews to denote the rule of the Roman conquerors. When Jews recited the formula "blessed be the name of the one whose glorious kingdom (Malkhuto) is forever and ever' they wereimplying that only G-d's malkhut would be enduring, but Rome's would be short lived.

This first part of the Sh’ma is known as “ Accepting the yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven”.Deut.6:4-9 Mishnah Ber. 2 R.' Joshua ben Korhah says:" Why does the recital of Deuteronomy 6:4-9 precede 11:13-21? In order that we should first accept upon us the yoke of the Kingdom of G-D and then the yoke of the commandments. *This first sections proclaims the sovereignty of G-D. The definition of Sh'ma is to hear with obedience. The Sh'ma is also known as a declaration of faith. It hold no less true for us either. The first section of the Sh'ma is known as Accepting the Yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven. When we confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that Y'shua is the Son of G-D,and that G-D raised HIM from the dead, we have at this point accepted the Yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven. We are born again and have not only entered another Kingdom, but we have accepted the rule and reign of the King of that Kingdom. This first part of the Sh'ma teaches of the acceptance of the Sovereignty of the King (G-D). The Sh'ma is said first thing in the morning and is the last thing uttered upon death. The line "Baruch Shem Kavod was added by the rabbis and is based on Psalms 72:19.

*Orach Chaim 98:1 " Before one begins to pray, let him meditate upon the loftiness of G-D and the lowliness of man; let him pluck from his heart his yearning for the mundane pleasures of this world.“ Matt. 6:24 (Kjv) "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one , and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve G-D and mammon.“ 1John 2:15-17 (Kjv) "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life,is not of the Father, but is of the world. And this world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of G-D abideth forever.

“Blessed be the name of His glorious kingdom for ever and ever”-originated as a response which was said by the people in Temple services after YHVH was pronounced by the priests.
